Book Sales in support of the Shannon Library happen twice per year.
The Winter Book Sale occurs in January at the Library and runs for about two weeks. Purchases are by donation and inventory switches out as space becomes available. Checking back regularly will give you the best deals and great scores.
Chautauqua Day Book Sale is on the first day of June during Chautauqua Day celebrations in Sexsmith. The book sale is located downtown on Main Street and is frequently accompanied by a Friends of the Shannon Library Society fundraiser. Again, purchases are by donation and the sale starts after the parade and goes until 4:30 p.m. In 2018, coffee and fresh Co-op doughnuts are available for purchase (Thank you, Grande Prairie Co-op!)
There is a small book cart in the front entry that offers a year round selection of paperbacks and magazines at a small cost.
